Privacy Policy
What the app stores
Thetahouse is a journal for an options strategy. It stores the trades you import from a broker export file or enter by hand: dates, tickers, strikes, expirations, contract counts, premiums, fees, share quantities and prices, and dividends. It also stores the accounting conventions you choose in Settings.
Broker export files are read on your device at the moment you import them. The file itself is not kept. The app never asks for your brokerage login, account number or balance, and the export formats it reads do not include them.
Where it is stored
On your device, in the app's private storage. If iCloud is enabled on your device, the same data is synced through your iCloud account (CloudKit private database) so that your other devices see the same ledger. That data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple, is accessible only to you, and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to it and no way to read it.
What we collect
Nothing. Thetahouse contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software, makes no network requests to any server we operate, and has no login. The App Store privacy label for Thetahouse is "Data Not Collected."
Purchases
Thetahouse Pro is sold through Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple processes the payment and holds the receipt; we receive no payment details and no personal information from a purchase. Subscriptions are managed in your Apple ID settings.
Deleting your data
Settings → Delete every trade removes everything the app stored, including the copy in your iCloud. Deleting the app removes the local copy; iCloud data can also be removed from Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.
Children
Thetahouse is a finance tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Because the app collects nothing, changes would only ever narrow what is described here or clarify wording.
